As a play-based kindergarten, our curriculum is designed to be fun, informative, child-led, and, above all, flexible. Each group of children shows a unique set of interests, personalities, and learning preferences that our educators incorporate into the curriculum. The following daily schedule serves as a starting point for those child-driven customisations.
Daily Routine
8.40am-10.30am
Unpacking bags and then a greeting and circle time on the mat. This then leads into a time of self selection of experiences within the room and verandah.
10.30-10.45am
Pack up and group time on the mat for musical experiences – dance, songs, finger plays, games etc.
10.45-11.00am
Washing hands/bathroom time and then Morning Tea on the verandah.
11.00-12.00pm
Outdoor Program - self selection of experiences in our garden.
12.00-12.30pm
Outdoor pack up and inside for language experiences – stories, rhymes and drama
12.30-1.00pm
Make beds and washing hands/bathroom time and lunch at the tables on the verandah
1.00-2.30pm
Quiet time with books, music/taped stories
Final farewell and group time
2.30 - 3pm
Doors open at 2.30pm. Final collection time is 3pm.
